I have attend this event just about every year for the last 31 years and have worked the event in many capacities for the last 16 years.
The African World Festival is the largest ethnic festival in the city of Detroit and one of the largest in the nation. Produced by the Charles H Wright Museum of African American History, the festival is their largest public event each year. This year the festival will be held on the grounds of the Wright Museum for 3rd year over the weekend of August 15-17, 2014.
